About DIS

The Arkansas Department of Information Systems (DIS) is a cabinet level agency of

Arkansas state government that provides information technology services within

Arkansas’s public sector. DIS works 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, to ensure that

public services provided by the state’s agencies, boards and commissions, K-12 public

schools, institutions of higher education, and city and county governments are always

available to the citizens of Arkansas.

DIS hosts some of the state’s most critical applications that enable citizens to access

online public services.

Our Internship Program

The DIS Information Technology Internship Program is a unique opportunity to gain first-

hand experience in areas such as business analytics, cybersecurity, applications,

networking, IT customer solutions, and more.

Responsibilities vary depending on skill set, knowledge, year of study, and, of course,

enthusiasm! Strong communication skills with a teamwork mentality is preferred.

also meet ongoing educational needs whereas students may earn academic credits

from their college, university, or other academic institution.
